When Ali wanted to create a dance studio for her daughter, she decided the garden would be the perfect place for it. After searching for the ideal garden room, Ali eventually decided upon the Fraya Log Cabin from Garden Buildings Direct. She was kind enough to share her experience with us.
The Fraya Log Cabin is one of our most popular garden buildings, and for good reason.
“You had the right cabin for us at the right price,” Ali told us.
“Why did you choose this particular one?”
“For the size mainly and liked the look of the pent roof.”
It is an attractive building, for sure, especially when painted. At 5 x 3 metres, Ali’s choice of Fraya is spacious enough for her daughter to dance freely and with an aesthetic to match.
“We painted inside and out, added a vinyl dance floor and mirrors. Also now has 2 electric points in it and a CAT6 for fast internet access for online dance classes.”
Log cabins have a distinctive build, where the boards interlock and cross over each other at the corners. Building the Fraya is a two-person job, but is a very rewarding experience.
“Absolutely great,” Ali fed back to us. “Delivered when you said it would be, the delivery guy was pleasant and it was a very straightforward process. More than enough screws and fixings with it, too.”
Due to the corner crossovers, log cabins are put together one log at a time. Thankfully, this is a simple process due to the clear instructions provided.
Having a dedicated space to practise dance was well worth it, Ali told us. “It’s extremely solid (went for the 44mm panels) and good quality. It keeps the heat in well too.”
The end result, after building, treating the wood and painting it, is a stunning building worth showing off. Ali even held her own opening ceremony for the occasion.
We wish Ali’s daughter all the best with her dancing future.
